What Is Preservè?
Preservè breast augmentation is a next-generation, minimally invasive technique that combines surgical precision with a gentle, tissue-preserving approach.
Developed in collaboration with expert plastic surgeons and Motiva®, the Preservè method delivers natural results, minimal recovery, and reduced scarring—all with patient safety and comfort at its core.
Unlike traditional breast augmentation, which may involve more extensive dissection, Preservè protects key breast structures, including nerves and blood supply, to reduce pain and improve long-term outcomes.
How the Preservè Technique Works: Step-by-Step
As one of the few UK surgeons trained and certified to perform both MIA FemTech and Preservè, I follow a structured, evidence-based approach:
1.Preoperative Planning
-
Breast volume assessment using the Crisalix 3D
-
Implant sizing and 3D simulation
-
Selection of Motiva Ergonomix® 2 implants
2.Anaesthesia and Preparation
-
Day-case under sedation or light general anaesthesia
-
Anatomical markings for accurate pocket creation
3.Minimal-Incision Entry
-
1.5–3.0 cm inframammary incision
-
Use of the Motiva Retractor to protect tissue layers
4.Atraumatic Pocket Dissection
-
sub-glandular technique
-
No electrocautery, preserving tissue integrity
5.No-Touch Implant Delivery
-
Use of a Motiva Sleeve™ or Keller Funnel®
-
Minimises contamination and implant trauma
-
6.Precision Closure
-
Triple-layer closure with fine sutures
-
Scar concealed in the natural inframammary
Why Patients Choose Preservè
✅ Faster healing – minimal trauma means shorter recovery
✅ Less post-op pain – thanks to tissue-sparing techniques
✅ Smaller scars – discreet and well-hidden
✅ Better mobility – return to normal life within days
✅ Natural look and feel – subglandular placement and responsive implants
Ideal Candidates for Preservè
You may be suitable for the Preservè technique if you:
-
Are looking for a subtle, elegant enhancement
-
Prefer a shorter recovery period
-
Have not had previous breast surgery
-
Want natural softness and movement
What Makes Preservè Different?
-
Anatomy-first technique – respects natural breast tissue
-
Gentle, bloodless dissection – no unnecessary trauma
-
Scientific precision – based on structured implant sizing methods
-
Better outcomes – reduced capsular contracture (Ergo2 implant), less pain, and high patient satisfaction
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
💬 Is Preservè the same as traditional breast augmentation?
No — Preservè is a modern, minimally invasive alternative that prioritises faster recovery (halves the recovery time), smaller scars (2-3cm), and tissue preservation. It uses no-touch techniques and precise anatomical planning, setting it apart from traditional augmentation methods.
💬 What’s the difference between MIA FemTech and Preservè?
While both use Motiva implants, MIA is often performed under local anaesthesia and focuses on scarless entry via a 2cm incision via the armpit. Preservè is similar but using a n incision under the breast and allows a arange of implants, typically suits patients seeking more projection or volume than the MIA implants.

💬 Is there downtime after surgery?
Most patients resume light activities in 2–3 days, with full healing expected in 6 weeks. Return to the gym is often allowed after 3–4 weeks, depending on implant size and activity level.
